I've just did some analysis on a site that is currently ranking 9,718 in Alexa and for which compete shows 226,116 unique visitors per month.
The problem is that there are all kinds of red-flags and problems with the sales page - especially with the testimonials on the sales page. The product is called The Rich Janitor and you can see the analysis of The Rich Janitor sales page here. Besides it being obviously overhyped, there are much more serious problems that you can see by going through the two videos I made which shows you The Rich Janitor and Rich Dishwasher sales pages together (I used the Mozilla plugin Mozilla in order to split the screen to show them both at once).
Michael Webster, owner of Bizop.ca had an interesting point about traffic and wondering if the owner of the site itself was manipulating the traffic.
I don't think so. I'll be going into that in more detail starting this week or early next week as I think it will be a fun expedition.
